Designing the Multi-Format FPV Flythrough

The Pure Padel shoot was designed from the outset to deliver both horizontal and vertical content from the same FPV flights. Using Whyldthings Moonshot throughout gave me the endurance, compact size and control needed to move continuously through all six courts, the clubhouse and social spaces while maintaining framing that could work across multiple aspect ratios.

That meant the flight path had to do more than look good in a single widescreen composition. Camera height, subject placement, transitions and reveals were planned so the footage could also work effectively as vertical social content without compromising the cinematic feel of the main sequence.

Capturing both formats simultaneously made the production more efficient and reduced the need for separate repeat flights. It also gave Pure Padel a broader set of deliverables from the same shoot — from widescreen brand content to vertical assets for social platforms.
